About the Emmanuel Family

Enouch, a Sri Lankan born, and Hineranga, a New Zealand born, met each other in Sydney, Australia at Christian City Church (C3). They served together in the worship ministry for over 10 years. While serving at C3, in 2019 they received a call from God for a new assignment. After almost 2 years of waiting, in April 2021 they landed in New Zealand (NZ). Their initial plan of visiting some family members on an island in the Bay of Plenty soon became their place of ministry. Enouch and his wife Hineranga and their three children (Shekynah, Hezekiah, and Elijah) are currently residing in a place called Matakana Island in the North Island of NZ.

After their arrival to NZ, they were made to isolate for 14 days in a hotel room, and on the 7th day, an invitation came to Enouch to teach music to children aged 6-12 at the Matakana Island school. On the first day of teaching, one of the students curiously asked if Enouch was able to teach about Jesus. This question changed their direction completely from visiting the island for a few weeks to staying a little longer.

They then started a weekly prayer along with a Sunday Service at their residing place. Since then, they have witnessed the move of God tremendously in the hearts of the locals (Māori people).

Now their assignment is to pray and teach the Word of God to the locals and guide them to have a personal relationship with Jesus. They would very much appreciate your prayer and support.

Enouch is currently completing a degree in bible teaching whilst running his own design studio (EIGHTXXVIII) to help primarily Christian workers.
