Rev. Carey Jo Johnston is an ordained minister since 2003, first in the Presbyterian Church USA and currently in the Presbyterian Church in Canada. While not currently serving in a particular congregation she is active in the Presbytery of Lanark-Renfrew and is serving as pulpit supply.

Her main ministry focus is as Managing Director with Literacy & Evangelism International (LEI).  LEI’s heart is for the nearly 2 billion non-readers of the world and those who desire to learn to speak English. Literacy & Evangelism equips the church to share the message of Jesus Christ through the gift of reading and conversational English. Carey Jo serves as Managing Director of the LEI Canada office. Carey Jo is based in Arnprior with her husband, Paul and son, Andrew.
