Their Mission

Care for Women Ministry (CWM) is a missionary non-profit organization based in Northern Ghana, dedicated to supporting vulnerable women living in “witch camps.” These camps are places where women, often elderly, are sent after being accused of witchcraft, a harmful belief that still persists in many communities of Northern Ghana. Once accused, these women are rejected by their families and cast out of society. Seen as dangerous or cursed, they are left without support, income, or access to basic necessities.

Most of the women in these camps are unable to work due to age and declining health. They face severe food insecurity, lack medical care, and are at constant risk of exploitation.

CWM exists to bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ to these women by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Through regular visits, counseling, acts of compassion, and genuine friendship, we strive to restore their dignity, rebuild their hope, and improve their overall quality of life.

Isaiah 61:1–3 (NIV) The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
